The Words of the Academic Bridge Program

Text Scavenger Hunt
The Creative Writing Club members met in the English Room and then walked down to C035 to meet with the Photography Club as we had planned a group activity for both clubs.

Mr. Mike called it a Scavenger Hunt. Members from both clubs walked around the Liberal Arts & Sciences (LAS) Building and looked for words and text. Photography Club members captured text in their photographs and Creative Writing Club members recorded text in writing. Read the and view some of the results below.

Fatema Fear Love

by Fatema Abdul Salik

Falling down the hill, I gather the wild blooms,
Attractive songs of birds banishing the gloom.
Trying to come to an end, I am happy moving,
Elated with the morning cheer, the sun is glowing.
Mellowing the mood, vanishing the tears,
Allowing the failure to flow, the success nears.

Feeling the terror,
Eating away at your heart.
Alienating you from your near and dear,
Roaring in your ears, lightening the bars.

Looking in the eyes,
Overflowing with affection.
Vowing never to erase that sight,
Eclipsing any hate ever present.
